Campaign Check

Before a campaign actually starts, LUCY Server executes some preliminary checks. When a check fails, just click on the check description and the system will tell you how to fix the issue. Most first-time campaigns fail the same three checks: IP Check, Accessibility Check and Spam Check.

  • IP Check: This check detects an IP address for a scenario’s domain and determines whether it points to a publicly accessible IP address. If the system is unable to resolve the domain or if it resolves to a private IP address, the check will fail. For example, the “Scenario iPad mini Promotion” has a URL that is resolving to a private IP address – e.g. 192.168.196.136. Private IP addresses are not accessible from the internet. Additional information for fixing IP Checks is available at http://phishing-server.com/PS/doc/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=ip_check
  • Accessibility Check: Using this check, the system will try to access the scenario URL from outside and check whether it is available. For example, the “Scenario iPad mini Promotion” points to a URL that is not accessible from the internet. Additional information for fixing Accessibility Checks is available at http://phishing-server.com/PS/doc/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=accessibility_check
